1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, accessing, or playing Shabd (the "Game"), or by using our marketing website (collectively, the "Services"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions (the "Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not access or use the Services.
2. License & Intellectual Property Rights
We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, revocable, and non-transferable license to access and play the Game for your personal, non-commercial entertainment. All content, puzzles, graphics, sounds, ciphers, knowledge cards (Atlas), Sanskrit-derived quotes, trademarks, and code are the exclusive intellectual property of Shabd and are protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and other laws.
3. Virtual Currency and Items
The Game features in-game virtual currency (such as Coins) and helper consumables (such as Hint Tokens). These items are exclusively virtual, hold no real-world monetary value, and cannot be exchanged for actual cash or currency. Purchases are subject to applicable Google Play or Apple App Store refund policies. Certain virtual items may be offered for purchase through supported app stores. Availability and pricing may change without notice. As the Game is offline-first, all virtual items, coins, and purchases are stored locally on your device. Clearing storage, formatting your device, or uninstalling the Game will result in permanent loss of these items, and Shabd is not liable to replace or restore them.
4. User Conduct & Acceptable Use
You agree that you will not: • Decompile, reverse engineer, decrypt, or attempt to extract the source code or content datasets of the Game. • Exploit bugs, glitches, or use automated systems (bots, hacks, cheats) to accumulate Dharma Points (DP) or coins. • Use our branding, assets, or heritage knowledge cards for commercial projects without prior written permission. • Modify or repackage the Game files for redistribution.
5. Third-Party Ads and External Integrations
The Game includes integrations with optional Google AdMob rewarded advertisements. These third-party features have their own policies and terms. Shabd is not responsible for any content, advertising, or products delivered by third-party advertising networks.
6. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SHABD SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF THE USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICES. THIS INCLUDES, BUT IS NOT LIMITED TO, LOSS OF LOCAL SAVE DATA, DEVICE DAMAGE, PERFORMANCE FAILURE, OR ACCIDENTAL LOSS OF PROGRESS.
7. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any legal action or dispute arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Pune, Maharashtra, India.
